Applying a Style to Text

1. Open a new Fireworks Document and set the width to 700 pixels, height to 150 pixels and the canvas color to white.
2. Create a Shape and Some text on the canvas

3. In the Window menu at the top of the application select Styles to open the Styles Panel. It should now be located in the Assets Panel Set on the right of the screen.
4. Select the shape you created in step #2 by clicking on it with the Pointer Tool. It should now have a blue outline.
5. In the Styles Panel select a style to apply to the shape.
6. Select the Text you created in step #2.
7. Scroll down in the styles panel until you see ABC with different styling options. These are predefined styles for text objects.
8. Select and apply the style of your choice to the text.
