Taste of Germany

Taste of Germany

UALR’s Alumni Association set a new one-night fundraising record last week, raising $50,000 in support of the its Student Endowed Scholarship Fund at Taste of Germany.

More than 350 alumni and friends gathered at the Bailey Alumni and Friends Center to feast on traditional German cuisine - bratwurst, German potato salad, and much more - while listening to live entertainment provided by the Waterloo German Band of Waterloo, Ill. The entire event was coordinated by a committee chaired by graduates Robyn Richardson (‘92) and Scott Gordon (’77).

Glazer’s Distributors provided white wine tasting and guest Chef Randy Murray of Ferneau Restaurant prepared pork tenderloin with a German mustard sauce. Guests were greeted by Alumni Board volunteers, German-speaking students and current Alumni Scholarship recipients.

It was the fifth annual fundraising event celebrating traditional cuisine.
