March 8, 2003, has been designated "Play-the-Recorder Day." Martha Bixler, who is on the Advisory Board of the American Recorder, is scheduled to lead the workshop in Little Rock that day. The theme will be "Three Centuries of Late Medieval and Renaissance French Music." We will play Du Fay's Gloria ad modum tubae and the "Kyrie" from the Messe de Nostre Dame by Guillaume de Machaut.
