There are resources online for learning more about WebCT; some of them are listed on this site. Take the time to explore them; it will save you time in the long run and you'll feel more comfortable in your course. If you run into a problem or want to know more about a specific feature in WebCT, the online help in WebCT can be very useful. Your teacher or other students in your class can also be a help.
Below are some common problems you might run into, along with suggested solutions:
Problem:
You can't log on to your course (first time). The WebCT ID and password
don't work.
Solution:
Be sure you are using the correct case for the ID and password. Whether
it is typed in upper or lower case letters matters!
Your WebCT ID should be the name part of your UALR email address. Your
password is your UALR Trojan ID number (use a capital T). If you have tried this and it still
doesn't seem to work, call Computer Services Help Desk (the
hours and phone numbers are shown at the bottom of this page).
Problem:
You can get into my WebCT using your WebCT ID and password, but you can't
see your course.
Solution:
Ask your instructor if you have been added to the class roster in WebCT. You
have to be registered for the class before you can see it in "my WebCT."
