University of Arkansas at Little Rock

The Little Rock Writing Project (LRWP) is a network of pre-K through college “teacher-consultants,” area teachers who have successfully completed intensive preparation in the teaching of writing. The core work of the site, which is carried out by the teacher-consultants and staff of the site, includes the following:

• The Summer Invitational Institute–summer study in writing theory and practice; qualifies teachers to be a part of the Writing Project Network
• Continuity–programs which support the LRWP teacher-consultants
• Professional Development–programs for all teachers
• Outreach–programs for youth and community.

The Little Rock Writing Project is co-sponsored by the federally-funded National Writing Project and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock; it is situated within the Department of Rhetoric and Writing.
