Building a Photo Album
What you'll need for this exercise.
- A Collection of Photos in the same folder (Download Photos)
- Audio or Video if you would like to use it
- Microsoft Powerpoint
Building the Album
- Open PowerPoint
- Select the Insert Tab in the ribbon
- Select New Photo Album
- Select Insert Picture from File/Disk
- Browse to the folder where your stored the presentation images
- To select all images from the folder, single click the first image while holding down the shift key. While holding the shift key, click the last image in the series and then click insert. Your Screen Should now look like this...
- At this point you can reorder images, remove images, adjust individual image orientation, brightness, and contrast. You can also insert text slides, Add captions, render in Black and White.
- Once you have all of the images reordered and optimized select a frame shape and picture layout.
- Select a theme for the slide show by clicking the browse button and then choosing a theme.
- Press Create. You will now have a presentation with multiple slides containing Pictures and Title Slides
- Name the presentation and its sub-sections
- If you need to change the theme or the style of the slideshow you can edit the settings by returning to the insert tab in the ribbon and selecting edit Photo Album
- Save the file.
Animation and Automation
- Select the Animations Tab in the ribbon
- Select a transition effect to use throughout the presentation. You can preview them by hovering over the thumnails.
- Set the speed of the transition
- Set the advance slide options to Automatically after 5 seconds.
- Press apply to all
- Save the Presentation with a meaningful name in your PowerPoint Folder
- Preview Presentation
