Adding Audio and Video
What you'll need for this exercise.
- Audio or Video if you would like to use it
- Microsoft Powerpoint
Embedding Video
- Place your video file in the same directory as your photo album presentation.
- Open the photo album presentation you created last week.
- In the slide view right-click and select new slide
- In the slide layout panel select a layout that will allow you to link to multimedia

- On the new slide you inserted select the video camera icon (bottom right option)
- Select Import and Browse to the file. Note: It is important that you keep all of the audio and video files in the same directory as the presentation.
- Select the the clip you just imported from the media library and press OK
- You will be prompted to select whether or not the file will play automatically or when it is clicked. For this exercise select automatically
- Arrange the clip on the slide until you are pleased with the look.
- Save the Presentation
Embedding Audio (That plays through multiple slides)
- Download the sample audio file (Sample Audio)
- Select the First Slide from the slide viewer
- From the Insert menu select Insert Movies and Sounds > Sound from File
- Browse to the audio file and press ok
- You will be prompted to select whether or not the file will play automatically or when it is clicked. For this exercise select automatically
- Right Click on the Audio Icon (looks like a speaker) and Select edit sound options
- Check Loop until stopped and Hide Sound Icon During Slide show. Press Ok

- In the Custom Animation Menu Double-click on the track.mp3 entry
- Under the effects tab you should have the following settings checked.
- Start Playing From the Beginning
- Stop Playing after X# of Slides
- Under the Timing tab you should have the following settings checked.
- Start after Previous
- Set the Delay and Repeat Options as necessary
- Save the File
