Defining a Site in Dreamweaver / Connecting to the Web server
Open Dreamweaver and under the Site menu select
Manage Sites
.

Select
New
to create a new site
Select the
Advanced Tab
Local Info Category Settings
Make sure you have
Local Info
selected from the Category menu.
Name the site and set the default file and images directories.

Default File Directory - The Personal Website folder you created.
Default Image Directory - The images folder inside assets within your personal web site folder.
Make Sure you check the following entries
Links relative to document
Case-Sensitive Links and Enable Cache
Remote Info Category Settings
Select
Remote Info
from the Category menu and set Access to
FTP
.

FTP Host: itweb.ualr.edu
Host Directory: cohort/username
Cohort = Your Class Name ( gray, cyberteacher)
Username - I will provide you with this.
Login: Your User Name
Password: Your Password
Click the test button – you should receive a message that tells you you have been successful in connecting to the server
Click OK and then Done
