Adding Extras to Your Site - Calendar
This exercise requires that you have a Google Calendar account. If you do not have a Google Account and would like to get one, go to http://calendar.google.com and select create an account now. You are not required to complete this exercise or sign up for a Google account. If you currently use a different calendar program and would like help in publishing it to your web site, let me know and I'll do my best to help you find a solution. Once you have an account created, proceed with the instructions below.
- Login to Google Calendar
- Select Manage Calendars on the bottom left hand side of the screen
- You should now be on the Calendar Settings Page. Under My Calendars you should see the name of your calendar and an option to Share this Calendar. Click on the name of your calendar.

- Select the Share this Calendar Tab
- Select Share all information on this calendar with everyone
- Save Changes. You will be sent to the main calendar.
- Return to your calendar in the Manage Calendars section.
- In the Calendar Address section press the blue HTML button. You should receive a pop up message that gives you two options. The first is a URL (link) to your calendar. The second link goes to a configuration tool. Follow this link and follow the configuration instructions

- Open your calendar.html file in Dreamweaver. If you do not have one yet, go ahead create it now.
- Paste the code you copied from the configuration tool inside the <div id="content> Code goes here.</div>
- Save the document.
If the calendar is too large or small, play around with the configuration options and repeat steps 9-11.
