Creating and Modifying Text

  1. Open Fireworks
  2. From the File menu - Select New
  3. Set the Canvas Size to 800x500 and Resolution to 72 Pixels per Inch
  4. Set the Canvas Color to White
  5. Press Ok

Fireworks New Document

  1. Text toolSelect the Text Tool from the Tools Panel
  2. Click on the empty canvas and Type your name.
  3. Highlight the text and in the Property Inspector play with the following properties to see the results
    • Font
    • Size
    • Color
    • Text Orientation
    • Justification

Text properties

  1. When you feel comfortable with these properties, Save the Document to the Desktop and name it "fwtext.png"
