Tom Clifton has been illustrating books and magazines for a variety of clients for the last ten years. In this time he has developed a distinctive, colorful, linoleum cut style that has been used in a variety of publications.

In 2004 he was commissioned by August House Publishers to complete a children's book titled "Under One Flag: A Year at Rohwer". This moving tale takes place in a japanese-american internment camp in 1940s southern Arkansas and chronicles a year in the friendship of two young boys, one a japanese-american internee and the other, the son of the camp administrator. He is currently completing illustrations for a series of articles for The American Gardener.
