Open your web browser and go to http://www.ualr.edu/ or directly access BOSS at http://boss.ualr.edu/.
You will be greeted with the BOSS welcome screen. You can find more information about BOSS in the Tech Center.
To begin the registration process, select the Login button.
You will then be shown a list of important dates for the academic year. It is helpful to review these dates, especially before you register for classes.
After reading the important dates, select the "Thanks for showing me the Important Dates, I'm ready to login" button.
Enter your ID # and PIN at the login screen. If you do not know your ID # or PIN, visit the Tech Center.
If this is your first log into BOSS, you will be asked to enter a security question and answer.
After logging in, the BOSS menu will appear. Select Student Services & Financial Aid.
Select Registration from the next menu.
Choose the term for which you wish to register - select term and submit term. This takes you back to the Registration menu.
If you already know which classes you want to add to or drop from your schedule, select Add/Drop classes link. This brings up an entry form that lets you input Course Reference Numbers manually.
If you want to search for classes, select the Look-up Classes to Add link. This opens a search form. You can find classes by Subject, Course Number, Title, Part-of-Term, Instructor, Start Time, End Time, or Days. The more of these search features you use at once, the more specific your search will become. If you can't find the class you're looking for, try broadening your search. For example, search by subject only.
Once you've found the class you're seeking, select the check box next to it and select the Add Class button at the bottom of the page. This adds the class to your semester schedule. If there is no check box, the class is full.
If you want to adjust your schedule, select the Add/Drop classes link (for the correct semester). Your current schedule will be displayed. Under the Action Column next to the class you whish to drop, you can choose "Drop Web" and select "Submit Changes."
Once you've added or dropped your classes, you can view your semester schedule one of two ways from the Registration menu. Student Schedule by Day & Time gives you a day-by-day grid of the week, showing your classes in their time slots. This is a useful schedule to print out and carry around with you, at least for your first few days. Student Detail Schedule opens a detailed grid of information about each individual class.
To find out how much money you owe for registration, select the Registration Fee Assessment on the Registration menu.
Use Check Your Registration Status to view your personal registration details, including holds, Academic Standing, and Student Status.
Be sure to select the Exit button at the top right of the page when you are finished using BOSS.
If you have any problems registering for classes using BOSS, please contact the Office of Records and Registration at (501) 569-3110.
