The Discussion tool is used to hold public or private forums on different discussion topics. Students can read postings as well as post their own ideas and opinions. |

The Chat tool is used to simulate a live classroom environment. The Instructor can interact their students in real-time. Students are able to text message questions and comments about course content. |

Students can compile pages from a list of content pages and create their own custom study guide. |

An Organizer Page is a page that can contain multiple, graphical links. |

The Mail tool provides the necessary private mail between students and faculty in the course. Also, having private mail inside WebCT helps to organize and store mail specific to the course instead of getting mixed up in all your other personal mail. |

A Video icon indicates that the linked content module contains either streaming or downloadable video relavent to the course. |
![]() Annotations |
You can create your own annotations of various text or image documents posted within path pages in the course -- then share your notes with your classmates |

The Image database can house images such as maps, graphs, graphics and photos. |
![]() Resume Course |
The Resume Session icon allows you to pickup at the last place they were in the course path pages. |

Include graphics, charts, tables, links to other websites, streaming media, video, audio, etc. |

A Self-Test contains practice questions and problems to test your knowledge. |

The Audio icon indicatest the instructor has added sound files to the course to accentuate course content. |

The Bookmark tool allows you to add your own Bookmarks to course content. |

The Calendar contains important dates for quizzes, assignments and chedule announcements. |

Build an index to cross reference key terms and concepts to the detail content within the course. |

Some course may provide a CD-ROM to work in conjuction with WebCT material. A CD link in a course can pull content from a CD placed in your computer. |

The Assignment Drop Box is a place where you can submitt papers or other projects for your Professor to grade. |
