
Pratt was instrumental in moving the Trojans into a conference affiliation giving the team a conference championship to play for and a possible NCAA Tournament berth. In 1998, UALR became an associate member of the Missouri Valley Conference and has produced a number of MVC All-Conference players including, Leslie Hawkins (2nd Team 1998,1999), Angela Hoffman (Hon. Ment., 1998), Kelli Johnson (All-Fresh., 1998), Julia Yank (2nd Team, All-Freshman, 1999) and Kate Ellmo (Hon. Ment., All-Fresh., 1999). The Fall 2000 season will see Pratt and the Trojans make one final conference move as they enter the Sun Belt Conference. Eight teams will participate in the Sun Belt Conference for the Fall 2000. These schools are Florida International, South Alabama, Middle Tennessee, Denver, Arkansas State, North Texas, Louisiana-Lafayette and UALR.
Pratt graduated from MacMurray College in 1994 with a B.S. in Biology and an emphasis in secondary education. He received his Master of Education degree from UALR in 1996. Pratt was a four-year starter at MacMurray, a 3-time All-SLIAC Conference selection and a All-Mid West Region selection. Pratt led the Highlanders to the NCAA National Tournament in 1990 (2nd round), 1991 (quarterfinals) and 1992 (1st round).

ASSISTANT/GOALKEEPER COACH
GREG HESS
Coach Hess enters his second season as assistant coach with the Trojans. Greg was instrumental in the success the Trojans had in their recruiting this last year. He will begin the 2000 season with the responsibilities of coaching the keepers, defensive tactics, fitness training and continue as the Trojans recruiting coordinator.
Greg is a native of Alamogordo, New Mexico and hails from a soccer rich background. Hess lettered all four years collegiately at the University of New Mexico, where he received numerous All-WAC conference honors. He holds the career and season shutout records at UNM. Greg continued his soccer career playing in the A-League for the now-defunct Albuquerque Gecko's.
Hess is involved heavily at the youth level as a coach during his off time. He is the Arkansas State ODP Goalkeeper coach for boys and girls and is also involved with the Coaching License program in Arkansas. Greg spends his summers with Chris working for No.1 Goalkeeper and Striker Camps where he is a Head Staff Coach and Goalkeeper Camp Director.
Greg will be working toward a Master's Degree beginning this Fall.
