WELCOME
Founded in 1989, the South
Central Writing Center Association (SCWCA) is the regional affiliate
of the International Writing Center Association. The purpose
of SCWCA is to foster communication among writing center personnel
and to provide a forum for professional concerns. Members include
directors and staff of writing centers and persons interested
in writing centers, and its membership consists of but is not
limited to individuals from: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana,
and Texas.
2009 SCWCA Conference: Registration Now Open!
The 2009 SCWCA Conference, themed "Writing and Teaching a Practice of Pleasure," will be held April 2-4 on the campus of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Check out the conference web page.
