- September 2004. Rolf Wigand, M. Lynne Markus, and Charles Steinfield issued a Call for Papers for a special issue of the journal Electronic Markets dealing with vertical information system standards. The special issue focuses on the growing importance of industry-wide initiatives to develop e-business standards, stimulated by the increasing popularity of XML over the Internet. The call for papers can still be viewed, but is now closed.
- August 2004. The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago published a special edition of the Chicago Fed Letter on the economics of standards that features the work presented by Steinfield, Wigand, Markus, and Minton at the earlier May conference on “Standards and Public Policy.”
