Zeke's Music Download Index
As far as I know, the links below are all legit. Archive.org is an amazing resource for lots goodies, not just music. For FLAC files, I use FLACer, but there are lots of FLAC decoders available for free. For torrents, I'm currently using Vuze, which is also available for free. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any problems or questions. You can email me at rpyoder@ualr.edu.
Archive.org is an amazing site with lots of live shows, as well as old tv shows, webpages, videos, etc. Most music files are available in both MP3 and lossless format, downloadable as individual files. Most of the music is also available as streaming audio, so you can sample before you download, or just listen from your computer without downloading at all. All free and all absolutely legit.
Rosemary focuses on Grateful Dead related music, including Phil Lesh & Friends, Ratdog, and New Riders of the Purple Sage. The links are for torrents. Pretty selective, and not always up to date, but during a tour, this is sometimes the quickest to find the latest show.
Pink Floyd Boots is some site I found posted somewhere. It doesn't really have a name as far as I can tell, but it's a great source for Pink Floyd shows dating back the 1960's. These are generally zip files of mp3's so they download pretty fast.
Quality Boots is a site I'm just starting to explore, but it looks pretty great and pretty eclectic -- Springsteen, Elvis, and ELP, Neil Young, The Doors. Most of these seem to download through Rapidshare as rar files, which open with Stuffit.
bt.etree has literally thousands of links for torrents of shows, mostly by jam bands (Phish, Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, etc.), but with some surprises like Rosanne Cash and Matisyahu, and lots that you, or at least I, never heard of.
