Using the Course Listserve

UALR sets up an email listserve for all classes. These email lists provide a good way for
members of the class to communicate with each other, and for me to communicate with all of
you at once. Below are instructions for joining the class listserve. Remember, anything you
send to the listserve will go out to EVERYONE on the list; private communications should be
emailed directly to the recipient. Joining the listserve is a course requirement. You should submit
your journals on the listserve. You should be able to cut-and-paste your word processing text
into an email/listserve message.

How to subscribe to the email list:

Send email to this address

LISTSERV@UALR.EDU

Leave the "Subject" line blank. In the body of the message write (do NOT include the brackets)

SUBSCRIBE ENGL425001 [your name]

Send your message.

When writing to the list, send your message to

engl425001@ualr.edu

REPLIES WILL GO TO THE ENTIRE LIST UNLESS YOUR REDIRECT THEM.

Note: Do NOT send your email in html format; not all email software reads it appropriately.
Also, do NOT send your journals as attachments since these may be stripped by the university
spam filter, and even if they make it through, your classmates may not be able to open them.
