On Friday, February 29, and Saturday, March 1, 2008, Ms. Frances Blaker led a recorder workshop entitled: "Music from Senfl, Scheidt, and Bach in the German Renaissance and Baroque Periods". We played works of these three pillars in the palace of German music: 1500-1750.
On her third visit to the state of Arkansas, Don Wold presented Ms. Blaker the official Arkansas Traveler award. This certificate was signed by the Governor of Arkansas and the Secretary of State. After the presentation, the workshop participants played "Arkansas Traveler."
In honor of Leap Day, we played a version of Dowland's Frog Galliard and played "Recorder Rally" to observe Play-the-Recorder Month.
