| This web page provides a virtual simulation to support an in class lecture demonstration of LeChatlier's principle on the equilibrium of various cobalt(II) complexes.
This lab uses 3 frames and is designed to run on a variety of browsers and monitor sizes. The upper left window contains instructions for running the lab, and once understood, should be minimized so you only see the relevant chemical equation on top. The lower left frame contains your assignments and the right frame contains the virtual lab. If your monitor is 17 inch you can view both the entire virtual lab and assignment frame. If text is truncated (which occurs when the frame width is less than the image width), you should change the pixel density to 1024 X 768. This can be done in the "screen area" option of the "display" section of your control panel. I find this works fine on my computer. If your monitor is 15 in or smaller, you may want to print the exercise on the lower left frame first. This can be done by right clicking in the frame, then typing either "print", or "open frame in new window" (your options depend on the browser you use). If you need to open the frame in a new window, you can print it from that window. There is an updated help section in the virtual lab which should assist you with operating the lab. If you need any additional help please contact Bob Belford. Also, if you are a Mac user and have any tips to share, please contact me, as I am unfamiliar with Macs. |
