This
site has learning resources for the UALR Chem 1400
course taught by Dr. Robert E. Belford. Although I am attempting to post as
much material online as I can, this is not an online course. You need to attend
class and should check the class bulletin board outside of SCLB 277 for
up-to-date keys and notices. Please contact Dr. Robert E. Belford at rebelford@ualr.edu if you have any
questions concerning this site.
There
are several types of resources posted on this class.
These
were created with an old VB-6 program and many quizzes have hints for which you
need to disable Pop-Up Windows. They should work in Firefox and Internet
Explorer browsers. Each Quiz has a unique number. If you email a question you
must include the number on the actual quiz page so I can identify which quiz
you are referring to. The numbers indicate the order in which they were created
for a general chemistry course and some quizzes are missing because we are not
covering that material. You need to correlate the quiz's description with your
class notes to identify the order in which you need to practice these. Also,
many of the quizzes of Quicktime videos embedded in
them.
These
are copies of handouts for problems we do in and out of class. Keys for many of
these are also posted. You also need to do all of the assigned homework
problems.
These
are experimental Pencasts using a Livescribe
pulse pen. This material is under development and I am not happy with the way
they are currently posted, but they are very useful. Be sure to turn your
speakers on.
Note, these are links to
interactive quizzes in the Chem 1402 General
Chemistry Class and the numbers are correlated to the general chemistry text.
