Robert J. Hines, Ph.D.
Associate Professor

A Cognitive Experimental Psychologist, Dr.
Hines interests are primarily concentrated in the area of human
learning and memory.
Dr. Hines is currently serving as the graduate coordinator of the
Master of Applied
Psychology program.
His current work supports the General/Experimental track of
the graduate program. Although happy to serve as a reader on
any thesis project, he will serve as mentor only on projects
directly related to experimental research in cognitive
psychology and human memory.

Projects
Exploring the differences between good and
poor readers. The research focuses on looking at the quality of the mental
representations individuals construct from the material that is read and how
those constructs affect what is remembered.
