Program Cost Details

Roundtrip airfare between Little Rock and destination country is included in the program cost (If you travel with the group on the program dates and travel into/out of program airports, your ticket will be purchased for you. If not, you will be responsible for purchasing your own ticket).

Also included:

• Homestay accommodations while in your destination city
  • 2–3 meals a day
  • Laundry service possibly - check with your host family
  • One shower a day
• On-site instruction and Instructional materials
• Lodging during required excursions
• Admission costs to most required cultural events
• Transportation from in-country arrival city to destination city

Please note that program costs do not include UALR tuition. Students can enroll for up to 6 hours of language credit.

6 hours of UALR tuition = $1,216.62 (Arkansas resident)

Not Included in the Program Cost

• UALR tuition and fees for 3-6 hours of language credit
• Departure from or arrival in any city other than Little Rock or scheduled destination, or travel on any dates other than the stated program dates
• Any passport or visa application fees (if applicable)
• The cost of an International Student Identity Card (purchase is mandatory, as it furnishes you with medical/travel insurance. It’s $25 on-line, or $30 in the Office of International Services here at UALR)
• Any food in transit or during excursions
• Local transportation (taxi, metro, tram, bus) while studying in destination city
• Meals not taken with the host family
• Tips
• Optional excursions
• Language dictionary, notebooks, pencils, pens, etc.
• Transportation to the airport for flight home
• Telephone calls – even local calls may generate a charge per call
• Personal spending money
• Change of air ticket fees
• Duties paid at customs
