Minor Requirements

        The major requirements have been revised several times over the years, and what will be required of you depends on which Undergraduate Catalog you will graduate under. These requirements will be listed from the most recent to the oldest catalog.     

Note: All course numbers listed in color with an asterisk are cross-listed with other departments and must be taken as a Political Science course to count toward the major in Political Science.

Undergraduate Catalog 2001-2002 to Present

A major in Political Science requires 30 credit hours, of which at least 21 hours must be upper-level (3000 and 4000 courses.) The 30 hours must include the following:

    Political Science 1310, American National Government (this course also fulfills one of the core requirements).
    Political Science 2301, Introduction to Political Science.
    At least one course from each of the following four fields. (The Undergraduate Bulletin has a complete list of courses.)
