of you depends on which Undergraduate Catalog you will graduate under.
These requirements will be listed from the most recent to the oldest catalog.
Note: All course numbers listed in color with
an asterisk are cross-listed with other departments and must be taken as
a Political Science course to count toward the major in Political Science.
Undergraduate Catalog
2001-2002 to Present
A major in Political Science requires 30 credit hours, of which
at least 21 hours must be upper-level (3000 and 4000 courses.) The 30 hours
must include the following:
Political Science 1310, American National Government (this course also
fulfills one of the core requirements).
Political Science 2301, Introduction to Political Science.
