The Physical Plant lock shop provides the campus community with keys and swipe cards to access campus buildings. The shop also performs other services such as re-keying office doors and buildings and other special lock jobs.
The Lock Shop provides keys and swipe cards to personnel with proper departmental approval. To obtain a key or card to campus buildings, an individual must present a completed key authorization card that is signed by the head of the department who is requesting the issue and by the Dean or Director who is authorizing the issue. Any person picking up a key must present proper identification and sign the key authorization card, stating the key or swipe card was received. The lock shop maintains records of all keys and swipe cards that are issued.
