  • PureEdge Viewer Software is provided to applicants in order to view and download applications. The upgraded version has just come out. Visit www.grants.gov/downloadviewer.
  • Applications can be downloaded, and can be worked on off-line.
  • National Science Foundation (NSF) collaborative proposals will still be submitted through Fastlane. No collaborative projects will be submitted through Grants.gov until further notice.
  • Twenty of the 26 federal grant-making agencies have posted application packages for current opportunities.
  • Grants.gov looks to receive 45,000 applications by the end of 2006.

UALR is registered to submit proposals through Grants.gov, and has successfully submitted 12 proposals thus far. ORSP will be submitting all electronic proposals. With the increased volume of proposals going through Grants.gov, we are told to expect submission delays, glitches, and operational problems. We request that PIs submit their projects to us three to seven (3 – 7) work days before it is due. This will allow us to review your project for completeness, and time for us to obtain the required administrative approvals before submission of your project. There may be one or two electronic processes that require the PI to submit. In that case, please contact us before final submission of a project. Please call for specific questions. The process for submitting a Grants.gov project through is...

  1. Complete a UALR Internal Review and Routing Routing Sheet. Please obtain the appropriate Chair(s) and Dean(s) signature.
  2. Bring the coversheet along with an electronic copy (on cd or a memory stick) to ORSP. Please turn in your proposal three to four (4) days before your project is actually due to the sponsor. This will allow for problems or possible glitches in the system that may be experienced during electronic transmission.
  3. We will review and submit your proposal electronically.

Macintosh Computer Users: There is lack of support for the Macintosh at this time. There will be a CITRIX solution for Mac users so they would not need to turn their computers into a PC, but the date this will be available is not known.

Some agencies are not accepting all proposals by way of Grants.gov, so please check to be sure on which system your project is to be submitted. Read more (42.5 kb)
