Nursing

Welcome!

The UALR Department of Nursing offers several degree program options. Please enjoy the following brief video overviewing our programs. Students must be formally accepted into the ASN or BSN program to be eligible for enrollment in nursing courses.

The UALR Department of Nursing offers a program that leads to an Associate of Science degree (ASN). This degree is offered in two formats for those seeking initial licensure: a Traditional option which takes four semesters to complete; and a Transition option for LPN/LPTNs and Qualified Paramedics.

The department also offers a RN-to-BSN Completion program in a hybrid/on-line format. This Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program offers RN graduates, of either an associate degree or a diploma program, an avenue to pursue an advanced degree, while continuing employment. The upper level nursing courses build on the curriculum foundation of the core Registered Nurse program and are designed to meet the continuing education needs of practicing RNs.
