FINANCIAL AID
UALR offers grants, scholarships, and loans. Information is available through the Office of Admission and Financial Aid (501-569-3035, Administration South).
UALR Department of Nursing Private Scholarships
Qualified UALR nursing students are eligible to submit a scholarship application. The following scholarships are available:
- Dennis Jungmeyer Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student accepted into the nursing program that is a current or former CARTI patient. Academic accomplishment, community service, and financial need will be strongly considered. A narrative page (writing sample) should be attached to the application detailing the student’s interest in furthering his/her education in nursing. The recipient(s) will be asked to sign a good faith intent of employment within the nursing fields, with preference given to those remaining in Arkansas. Awards to each qualified applicant. Total award is $2000 per semester. - Willard and Pat Walker Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student majoring in the nursing program. Award will be based on academic record and financial need. A writing sample should be submitted with the application. Total award is $8000 ($2000 per nursing semester). Applications must be submitted to Ms. Lee Bailey in the Department of Nursing by Friday, July 22.
