MUAP 1000 - Recital Attendance

Departmental Policy: In order to receive Recital Attendance credit for the semester, students must attend at least 8 scheduled departmental concert/recitals (or acceptable substitutes). You may not count any recital in which you are a participant. All concerts are in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall (SBSCH) in the UALR Fine Arts Building unless otherwise noted.

Of these scheduled events, you must attend at least 8 to receive credit. You may register your attendance by signing a program and returning it to Trudy Kincade's music department mailbox within 3 days of the concert. If you cannot attend 8 of these, you may substitute any concert by the Arkansas Symphony, Quapaw Quartet, , Wildwood Opera Company , Arkansas Chamber Singers , Arkansas Choral Society or any Artspree concert. Other concerts and events may be substituted, but they must be approved by Trudy Kincade before the event. Approval will generally not be given after the event.

Music Majors who do not complete this requirement may have their scholarship funds discontinued and/or be denied registration in music courses. Failure to complete six semesters of recital attendance may be grounds for denying graduation. The calendar on the Music Department bulletin board is the most accurate and up to date listing of recitals.
