Michael Heavner holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in piano performance from UALR.
Michael grew up playing piano and guitar. At the age of 14, Michael formed his first band. For 8 years, the band performed various events, proms and concerts throughout the mid-south. Michael currently teaches audio media production and is the staff piano accompanist for the UALR ballet and modern program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock .
Since 1995, Michael Heavner has served as musical director/keyboardist on numerous musical productions which include; the national tours of Blues in the Night, Idols of the King and Always Patsy Cline. As well as, productions of Always Patsy Cline and Godspell , Annie, The Sound of Music and Spit Fire Grill . Michael served as resident musical director/pianist for the musical, Lost in the Fifties at Center Stage Theatre in Mackinaw City Michigan, 2000-2001. Michael has also served as keyboardist/pianist for productions of Dreamgirls, Cinderalla, Gypsy, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamCoat, My Fair Lady, Cabaret, Children of Eden and the first national tour of Always Patsy Cline. In addition, Michael also served as conductor/keyboardist for the musical BeeHive, under the musical direction of Rick Sieber.
