Charles Law has been Director of the Trojan Band since 1995 and founded the UALR Percussion Ensemble in 1989. Mr. Law recently retired as Principal Percussionist with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for 16 seasons to pursue chamber and solo interests and spend more time with his family.

Charles Law studied percussion with principal players in the Chicago and St. Louis Symphony and spent four years working with members of the National Symphony Orchestra of Washington D.C. Mr. Law was a conducting student of Keith House and has studied additionally with Robert Henderson and Dale Lonis.

In addition to his responsibilities at the university he is the Director of the Arts Center of the Grand Prairie in Stuttgart Arkansas where he directs all artistic and educational programs and directs the Music Ministry Program at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Stuttgart . Mr. Law is married and has two children, one cat and three dogs.
