Documentary & Discussions: Mendez vs. Westminster School District

The Mendez case is a civil rights study about how one family stood up to a segregated society and with the support of their friends, relatives, community and hosts of lawyers and civil rights groups, convinced the Courts that segregation had no place in our schools or in our society. Come learn more about the backgrounds of the case and join in detailed discussions.

Immigration Panel Discussion and Box Lunch: “Issues, Challenges, & International Relations

Learn facts and discussions from our panelist as they share information on how the Hispanic population survives the Issues, Challenges, and International Relations in today’s society.

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Scholarship Awards Gala
Donaghey Student Center, Ledbetter Meeting Rooms A, B & C - 6 - 10 p.m.

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) will honor twenty students in recognition of their scholastic achievement and community involvement. This prestigious event will be supported by all
units from the UALR community and the Little Rock community as we engage in highlighting our Latino students during their time of their achievement. Entertainment provided by Al “Papa Rap” Lopez, music artist of the bilingual song, “What’s Up, Que Pasa.”
