Joseph R. Bell

Joe Bell earned an MBA and JD and is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and also an adjunct faculty member at the Bowen School of Law. His previous academic programs have received an SBA Vision 2000 Award, a top 10 from Entrepreneur Magazine, and the Monfort College of Business was a 2004 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award winner. He is nationally recognized in the area of early-stage fundraising and served as COO of “C-Tech Angels”, a Colorado-based 75-member angel investor network. Recently he published his first book entitled, “Finding an Angel Investor in a Day: Get it Done Right, Get it Done Fast!”. He has been involved with over 1,000 businesses ranging from neighborhood startups to multi-billion dollar ventures. He also assists BioVentures with the commercialization of research technologies developed at UAMS. At UALR, he teaches Issues in Entrepreneurship, New Venture Creation, and Small Business Management. His research covers early-stage fundraising, entrepreneurship course work, issues affecting entrepreneurial businesses, and case writing. His research appears in such publications as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, the Entrepreneurial Executive, the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship and others.
