How much time should a student spend studying for this course outside of class?

A general rule of college study is that for every hour you attend class, you should spend 2 hours studying. For example, this class meets 100 minutes per week. That's 1.66 hours of class time, so you should study for approx. 3.5 hours a week during a regular 15-week semester. It is recommended that you work out a schedule for when you will study for this class. Planning ahead will ensure that you maximize your learning experience.
