I was born in Washington DC and since I was an AirForce brat I have lived all over the place. I went to the University of South Florida where I earned my bachelors in business administration, my masters in adult and vocational education, and my doctorate in educationl management.  Before moving to Little Rock in 2004, I had eight years experience as a school administrator. I have over 20 years of school district experience overall.

My wife, Carolyn, is a Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership in the unit of Educational Foundations & Research; and our daughter, Jessica, is a freshman here at UALR. 

We also have three cats, Peter, a 17-pound orange tabby; Leeloo, a gray and white tabby; and Jack, our daughter's black varmit; all are very dumb. I do not have a picture of Jack yet.



My favorite pastime is riding my Harley Ultra Classic (geezer glide). Other than that,  I don't do a whole lot these days, mainly work. When at home I tend to be a slug in front of the TV watching DVD rentals, King of the Hill, or news. I am looking forward to this class.
