International Graduate Students

Apply online by going to the following website: apply.ualr.edu. Please fill out every box that has a red star beside it. Write down and remember your security questions on the third screen (if perhaps you have to stop in the middle of the application, or need to change something on the application at a later date).  It is important to use a valid email address. You will be sent an email reminder with your security information as well as an email upon completion of your application.  It is important that you print out and keep your Student ID number that is given to you at the end of the application.

To successfully complete your application to UALR, please submit the following:

    Required for the issuance of an I-20:  

  1. A non-refundable U.S. $40.00 application fee (please make checks payable to UALR).
  2. Original transcripts with an official English translation using one of the following agencies with a course by course evaluation. Note: international students can utilize the services of any agency that is a current member of NACES. For details visit:NACES: www.naces.org/members.htm
    AACRAO: www.aacrao.org/international/foreignEdCred.cfm
  3. Proof of English Proficiency for non-native speakers of English:
      - TOEFL score of 80 or higher (internet-based), unless otherwise stipulated by your program of study - Scores must be reported to UALR directly from ETS (UALR Code is: 6368).
  4. Completed and signed certification of Financial Support for at least U.S. $20,000.00 with attached documentation (examples include: bank statements, letter of sponsorship, scholarship letters, etc.). Download the Financial Responsibility Form.
  5. Official test score required by graduate program (GRE, GMAT, or LSAT).

OIS strongly encourages all new International students receive required immunizations before they arrive if beginning during the Fall 2011 semester.  Please click here for more information.

    Required to complete your application to UALR (may be submitted upon arrival):  

  1. Copy of Visa (may be submitted to OIS after arriving to the U.S.).
  2. Proof of immunization (obtained at Health Services at UALR after arrival to UALR unless pocessed before arrival).
