The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Department of Economics and Finance is accepting applications for at least one tenure-track assistant professor position in Economics ( Req. # 741) to begin Fall, 2010. The fields of specialization are open, but fields in macroeconomics or health economics are preferred. In addition to courses in your area of specialization, the new faculty member will be expected to teach one or more of the following courses in both our day and night programs during a typical year: statistics, principles of microeconomics, or principles of macroeconomics. Candidates should have a PhD in economics or should have completed all degree requirements by commencement of employment. The university expects instructional excellence and scholarly output appropriate for a school with AACSB accreditation of its undergraduate and MBA programs. The university is in a metropolitan setting with the Department of Economics and Finance housed in the College of Business.
