GRADING SCALE:

90-100% = A

80 - 89% = B

70 - 79% = C

60 - 69% = D

59% AND LOWER = F

How to figure your grade when components are “weighted” differently:

Example: Quizzes 5%;  16 quizzes at 25 pts each… 400 total points possible for quizzes

                  Your total:  300 points

1.      Figure the percentage you have made of the total points for quizzes:  300/400=75%

2.      Multiply that per cent by the weight of quizzes:  75 X .05= 3.75 pts

3.      When weighted the points possible for quizzes would be 5:  100% X .05= 5.

4.      You have 3.75 percentile points

5.      You would figure each component in this manner.

6.      Total of component percentile points= 100

GRADING POLICY:

Grading will be based on the following activities:

Discussions                   25%

Assignments                 25%

Quizzes                        20%

Exams                          30%
