- How do I receive an information packet ?
- You can call the program office at 501-526-6643, write
for information or send an E-mail request to Andreas Muller or Stephen Foti.
We will mail you the complete application packet with information
about the program.
- Which graduate test should I take?
- We accept either the GRE or GMAT. Individuals with a Business
Administration undergraduate degree may prefer the GMAT.
- Can I be admitted without taking any of the graduate tests?
- No.

- When should I apply?
- Applications are reviewed as soon as all the required information is received and is in a completed admission file at the UALR Graduate School. The earlier you reply, the earlier you will get a response. We will start the admissions process for the next fall semester as early as October of the preceding year. We would like to have the completed application for the fall semester before May 15th. For spring admission applications, the required application materials should be completed and submitted by December 1st. We may contact you for an interview upon receipt of your completed file.
- What should be included in the statement of objectives?
- The 500-700 word statement should describe for the faculty
why you are seeking a degree in health services administration,
your career goals and objectives, and information about your previous
work experience, particularly any leadership or management experiences.
- When are the classes offered?
- All of the classes are offered in the evening. Most meet one
night per week.Occasionally they may be offered on weekends. A full time student will go four nights a week.
A part-time student generally attends two nights per week.
- How do I apply for a graduate assistantship?
- You submit a brief letter with your application indicating that
you would like to be considered for a graduate assistantship.
- When are decisions made about graduate assistantships?
- Once a student is admitted, we arrange interviews with the
health care organizations interested in a graduate assistant.
Once the organization makes a decision, we inform the student.
- How should I send in the application information?
- We recommend sending the application form, names of references and statement together. The official transcripts will have to
be sent by any University or College you have attended. The official test score
will have to come from GRE or GMAT. All of the application material
must be sent to the UALR Graduate School.
- How much does it cost per semester?
- The tuition and fees for a full time in-state resident for
the 2005-2006 academic year will be approximately $2619. The tuition and fees
for a non-resident are approximately $5283. Since most part-time students
take 6 credit hours, the in-state tuition and fees are approximately $1310
for residents and $2580 for non-residents. Books generally cost $250.00 per semester.
- What happens during the interview?
- The faculty ask a series of questions related to the statement of career goals
and objectives, previous work and academic performance. The interview
also includes time for the applicant to ask any questions he/she
may want answered. The interview generally lasts for 1 hour.
