History

Seven UALR students to speak at Phi Alpha Theta conference

Congratulations are due to to UALR History students Kara Ellis, Lauren Jarvis, Marc Gibson, Michael Kermmoade, Matthew Carpenter, Christopher New, and Sam Staggs-McKay, who are all presenting papers at the Arkansas Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference. Phi Alpha Theta is the national history honor society. UALR’s Iota Zeta chapter was established in 1963.

The conference is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2008, on the Harding University campus in Searcy. Registration will begin at 8:30 Saturday morning in the Founders Room in the American Heritage Building near the Race street entrance to campus.

We are so proud to have such a large number of undergraduate and graduate students from UALR participating in this conference!
