Great American Smoke-Out, Nov. 17

The Office of Health Promotion, Programs, and Education is creating a powerful display for the Great American Smoke-Out. Drop by the lower level of the DSC on November 17, 2011 to view their creativity.

As part of the day’s events, HPPE is also planning a campus-wide outreach to bring attention to the dangers of smoking and second-hand smoke. Visit their information table on November 17 in the upper level of the DSC.  General information on the health risks of smoking will be provided as well as information on the UALR smoking cessation program.  While supplies last, mouthwash or toothpaste will be handed out.

There’s still time to get a flu shot!

Students, Faculty, Staff:

If you haven’t received a flu shot yet, stop by Health Services, DSC 102, on Monday, November 7 or Tuesday, November 8 from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Walk-in’s only - no appointments needed.

The cost of the flu vaccine for UALR students is covered by the student health fee.

For employees with QualChoice insurance, QC will cover the cost of your vaccine. Please bring your insurance card with you. For all non-benefits eligible employees and benefits-eligible employees who do not have Qual Choice, the cost is being covered by UALR through the Office of Health Services.

Flu season is right around the corner! Take advantage of this opportunity to PREVENT THE FLU - GET VACCINATED!

Flu vaccines for spouses and dependants will be offered on Monday, November 14 and Tuesday, November 15 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Health Services, DSC 102.

QualChoice members, please bring your insurance card with you.

No appointment needed - While supplies last.
