    Where do I get a parking sticker?
    A. Parking permits are available at the Department of Public Safety.

    What are the UALR office hours?
    A. The Graduate School is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    Where do I get my student ID?
    A. Student ID cards are made in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness and Aquatics Center, Reception Area.

    Is UALR open on Saturdays during registration?
    A. UALR is only open during regular business hours Monday - Friday.

    How can a student change his or her name?
    A. Name changes are done by the Office of Admissions and Records. Copies of a social security card and photo ID are required.

    I can't seem to get in contact with my program advisor
    A. Graduate students must be advised by an advisor within their graduate program. If the assigned program advisor is not available, check with the program coordinator.

    Is my ID number my PIN number?
    A. No. Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a 6-digit number for the privacy of the student. Your PIN cannot be given out over the phone.

    Can you change my residency status? I have been here over 6 months.
    A. Residency issues are handled by the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, Administration South Room 208, 501-569-3127.

    Can I call you to register?
    A. The Graduate School will only be able to register fully-admitted students for undergraduate-level classes but will be able to assist students not fully admitted.

    I'm a special student or not fully admitted. Am I eligible for financial aid?
    A. You must be fully admitted into a degree seeking program in order to receive financial assistance.

    Is there an application deadline?
    A. Deadlines vary from program to program. Contact the program coordinator for the deadline dates.

    Do transient students need transcripts or immunization records?
    A. Transient students do not need to submit immunization records. A Transient student taking education courses must submit a copy of the transcript with degree and GPA posted.

    I'm an international graduate student. Can I be admitted as a special student and be issued an I-20?
    A. Yes, but you must be registered in 9 hours or more. You may only be able to be in this status for one semester and must be admitted into a degree program after the first semester.

    Can my other university send my test scores to your university?
    A. That is the option of the other university. The scores are still considered unofficial until the original scores are sent directly to the Graduate School from the testing service.

    I've taught for 6 years. Do I have to apply to Graduate School just to take one class?
    A. Yes, transcripts will be needed as well as a copy of your immunization record and a copy of a current standard teaching certificate.

    May I have personal copies made of transcripts or test scores I had sent here?
    A. Policy states that you may view your file. However, once UALR receives an official transcript, it becomes the property of the university. You will need to apply to your previous school for an official transcript.

    I am taking classes off-campus. Do I still need my immunization records?
    A. Proof of Measles, Mumps, and Rubella vaccination is required from all students born after 1957. Students in online programs do not need to submit proof of immunization.

    Can a student register over the Internet?
    A. Yes. The Schedule of Classes can be located at http://boss.ualr.edu. You will need your student ID and PIN in order to register for classes.

    Why can't I register?
    A. There are many reasons why a student cannot register. It may be because it is not the correct time as listed in the schedule of classes. Another reason may be that the student has not been advised or admitted. Contact the Graduate School at 501-569-3206.

    How do I pay tuition?
    A. Students can pay tuition in person at the Cashier's office, by mail, or via the Internet.

    Who answers general questions about the student's bill?
    A. Students should contact Student Accounts at 569-3450 or via email at studentaccounts@ualr.edu.

    When is the last day to pay?
    A. The last day to pay varies by semester and is printed in the Schedule of Classes. Typically, it is the Friday before classes begin.

    What if I don't pay by the due date?
    A. Students will be charged a late payment fee but will not be dropped from classes. Drops are only done at the end of EARLY registration for those who did not fulfill the deposit requirement.

    Does UALR have a payment plan?
    A. There is a deferred payment plan (through the Cashier's office) available to qualified students. The payment plan is available for the Fall and Spring semesters only.

    Can I pay by credit card?
    A. Yes - MasterCard, Visa, and Discover via BOSS or at the Cashier's office.

    When is the last day for 100% refund?
    A. During the fall and spring semesters, 100% refund is granded through the first week of classes for withdrawals and dropped courses. Summer refunds are granted through the first 2 days of class.

    I didn't get a bill in the mail. Does this mean I don't owe anything?
    A. Your bill was sent to your UALR email account. UALR email address are assigned within 48 hours of the first time you register for classes. To find your assigned email account, log into your BOSS account and look in "Personal Information." Your email password will be the same as your student ID until you change it.

    If enrolled in udergraduate school (at UALR) may I take graduate courses?
    A. Yes, if you are within 15 hours of graduation and have a GPA of at least a 3.0. Forms are available at the Graduate Admissions office. Instructor and program coordinator approval are required.
