Insert a heading for GHS Law Partners
- Changing Text - Selecting
1. Drag across the text; Single-Double-Triple Click;
2. Shift key; Control key (sentence); F8 / (Esc); Selection Bar
3. Home Tab - Paragraphs
- Alignment - Left, Center, Right, Justify
- Bullets and numbering
- Indents (*not* margins)
- Line Spacing (default for Word 2007 is 1.15)
- 72 points (vertical) = 1 inch
- Justify the text, then change back to left alignment. Double space the first paragraph. Use single spacing for the paragraphs, with 6pt after paragraph.
4. Review Tab
- Spelling Check - change, ignore, duplicate words
- Grammar and Thesaurus - highlight words, find synonyms and antonyms
5. Home Tab - Editing Group
- Find and Replace - try this out
- Cut/Copy and Paste - Select then do; drag and drop, shortcut keys; clipboard - move paragraph #2 to the be #1
- The Clipboard - storage area for Cut and Copy
6. Insert Tab
- Pictures (Illustrations) and WordArt
- Header and Footer
- Page Number
- Footnotes
- Symbols (e.g., nonbreaking space; nonbreaking hyphen)
- Nonbreaking hyphen - control-shift dash
- Nonbreaking space - control-shift spacebar
7. Office Button - Word Options
