    A. Go to WEBOPEDIA.COM - Search for the word "Applications". What's a brief definition:

      1. Go to a web site - BUY.COM, MCAFEE.COM, SYMANTEC.COM, or other - Get a price for the Norton Anti-Virus or McAfee Anti-Virus program. ______________________

      2. Find the AVAST! web site. Find a difference between the Free and Pro versions of AVAST! ______________________________________________

      3. Find the AVIRA! web site. Find a difference between the free and Premium versions of Avira! ______________________________________________

      4. Does your computer have anti-virus software installed? If so, which? _______________________


    C. SHAREWARE: Go to a software downloads site, TUCOWS.COM or CNET.COM.

      1. Find the image (graphics) editting program "XnView" available there. ________

III. MSDOS Operating System -How do you get to MSDOS (Command Prompt) from Windows?
   (Start-All Programs-Accessories-Command Prompt...   to return to Windows, type EXIT)

     A. Go to MSDOS (Command Prompt) - Try these commands:
1. VER 3. CHKDSK (Total Disk Space) 5. TIME
2. MEM (Total Memory) 4. DATE 6. DIR

You can return to "Windows" from the "MSDOS" prompt by typing WIN or EXIT or closing the window)
