OPENING WEBCT E-MAIL
Once past the main login page, LINKS LIST (INSERT+F7) will bring up the ‘myWebCT’ main page course(s). A second LINKS LIST will bring up ‘Course Menu’ links; choose ‘E-Mail’ link. From the main E-Mail directory, JAWS will read the page as tables but it is actually columns. If you engage FORMS LIST (INSERT+F5) JAWS will read the list of messages by message subject; use the ARROW keys to select the message and press ENTER. When you press ENTER you will engage FORMS MODE and checking the box of the message you want to read. Or use the TAB key to navigate to the check box of that message, press SPACE, which checks the box. Whether you use the FORMS LIST or the TAB to get to the subject line or the check box, you will then be looking for the “view thread”. Without the FORMS LIST, JAWS will announce this link as a graphic. By using the TAB (advances to next link) or the SHIFT+TAB (goes back to the last link), you will be able to arrive at that “view thread” link. Press ENTER and that will open the message.

OPENING WEBCT THREADED DISCUSSIONS
From the Main Menu page, LINKS LIST, select ‘Communication Tools’ and press ENTER. JAWS will announce whether the check box is checked or unchecked; to check press SPACE bar or ENTER. LINKS LIST brings up the messages by subject, select the message to open and press ENTER. As the message opens, JAWS announces “Forms Mode off” and opens the message in a separate window. JAWS will announce “Forms Mode off” when toggling back and forth between the Discussions directory and the message window. To read the message use the ARROW keys. To Reply, LINKS LIST, choose Reply, press ENTER. To Reply/Compose message, turn the Virtual Cursor OFF and route to JAWS Cursor, then compose message. To Post the message, LINKS LIST, select Post and press ENTER.

OPENING WEBCT QUIZZES/TESTS
From the main submenu page, engage LINKS LIST and select Quizzes. The quizzes will be available by date and listed accordingly; engage LINKS LIST and select Quizzes, press ENTER. An intermediary page containing a link to ‘Begin Quiz’ opens; engage LINKS LIST and select ‘Begin Quiz’ link, press ENTER.
To read the questions, you must turn the Virtual Cursor OFF and route to the JAWS CURSOR but to input you engage the PC Cursor. This method is VERY time-consuming and renders the quizzes inaccessible. For this reason, I recommend composition of tests in MSWord with a table format that can be emailed as an attachment. If you are using JAWS to open the following link to the Sample Test, save the file, then open it from that location.
