Faculty and Aministration
The Donaghey Scholars faculty is drawn from UALR's most outstanding and well-recognized teachers. They represent a broad range of experience and demonstrate expertise in all major areas of study. Among our oustanding teachers are several who have won the University-wide Excellence Awards in Teaching, Research and Public Service.
All of the members of the Scholars faculty are strongly committed both to teaching and to the challenges of interdisciplinary studies. In most cases, the faculty team teaches the core courses, thus promoting for the students exposure to a full range of disciplines.

Governing Committees:
Policy Council, Faculty Committee, Student Committee and Administration:
A Policy Council, comprised of the director of the program, faculty, and student representatives, reviews policies affecting the program.
A Scholars Faculty Committee engages in periodic review of course and curriculum design. Representatives of each Scholars class serve on a Student Committee; this committee decides how student activity funds will be spent. The committee also assists in recruiting new students and in planning various program-wide functions.
The Student Committee's chair and co-chair serve on the Policy Council and on the admissions committee.
