EXPECTATION-An Autonomous Mobile Vehicles (AMVs) Simulator Funded by the University of Hong Kong, this project is to provide a platform for navigation performance evaluation study, visual-driven behavior learning. It is a large scale Virtual Environment (VE) simulator on SGI workstation. It supports various vehicle and sensor models and is able to provide 3D visualization of the VE for indoor/outdoor navigation of AMVs. This software is now running in a number of universities in Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore as a simulation platform for navigation algorithm tuning and behavior learning.
