Two CSAM Departments (Department
of Chemistry in 1999 and Department
of Nursing in 2001) honored the College through their
selection as UALR Departments of Excellence. The selection
is made by an external University committee and is the most
prestigious award on campus at the departmental level. Other
Departments in CSAM have consistently been finalists in the
competition.
In addition to Department of Excellence Awards, individual
CSAM faculty have been recognized for their excellence in
teaching, research and service. Since the inception of CSAM,
