Chinese Language Classes

The curricula for these cutting-edge classes has been specially created for the Community School to teach both adults and children conversational Chinese, Chinese writing, and culture. This instruction may be of particular interest to adults of Chinese heritage or parents with children of Chinese heritage who want their children to be familiar with and involved in their native culture. This knowledge is also useful to those in business who engage in commerce with Chinese companies.

The classes, delivered in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, contain a wide variety of teaching methods to effectively serve all ages and levels. A systematic approach to Chinese language phonics, grammar, reading and writing is used. This system is augmented by an introduction to Chinese literature, history and culture to enhance the students' interest and their ability to learn and understand the language in its proper context.

Prices: One hour/15 weeks/one lesson per week.
$380 - One person, private lesson.
$280 - 2 persons, semiprivate.
$260 - 3 person class/small group.
$220 - 4 persons (or more) class.
$240 - 1 1/2 hour large group.
$220 - Very young children's class (parent attendance required)

Classes and private instruction are arranged according to the student's and teacher's schedules.
