Project Guideline
Your Projec Prospectus should contain the following information:
Problem: Briefly state your problem and the context of your inquiry, noting the school and classroom communities where it will be conducted.
Rationale: Describe why you chose this project and how does it benefit the school, students or community. What is its relevance to current educational practices?
Preliminary Review of Literature: Summarize the main concepts you gleaned from the literature or interviews with colleagues or students about your study. How do findings from the literature relate to your own teaching?
Procedure: Describe any instructional or learning strategies you might try out. Outline the focus of your project. (As your study evolves you may need to modify, eliminate, or add aspects. Describe student involvement in the project.
Research Methods: Summarize the type of research methods that are most appropriate for your study. Describe how you will document what happens in terms of instructional process and learning indicators (e.g., observations, protfolios, student work, interviews, tests, surbeys, class discussions, reflection journals, student comments, displays, lesson plans, records, documents, videos, photos).
Timeline: Explain activities, data collection and analysis and proposed time of completion and presentation to committee.
